Questions UC students ask
Which UC nursing programs need a preceptor?
Every nurse practitioner track, nurse-midwifery, women's health, the post-master's certificates and the BSN-to-DNP NP tracks need clinical preceptors you find. The post-MSN DNP needs a project setting instead, and Systems Leadership and Nursing Education have their own practicum rules.
Can I live anywhere and study at UC?
Not quite. Where you live matters. UC can't run graduate clinicals in seven states (the state list names them), its DNP programs skip Washington, and the acute-care tracks plus two certificates take only tri-state residents from Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.
Which UC programs start in the fall only?
Per UC's program pages, adult-gerontology acute care, pediatric acute care, Systems Leadership and all DNP programs start in the fall. Online MSN students, and those in the FNP, AGPCNP or PMHNP certificate, can begin in any of three terms a year.
